God, help those of us with a deep mother wound to draw near to you as both father AND mother today. As we celebrate this day, let us remember that we already possess the perfect parent in you. You never forsake us, neglect us, or abandon us. May we feel the comfort of your warm embrace amidst our sorrow, pain, and loss. Please carry us through our grief, and bring us to a posture of love, joy, and peace.
